About

Each project represents a discovery and the brave choice to share it.

The Foundation Art Exhibition is the culmination of students’ first eight months of artistic exploration in the one-year Foundation Visual Art & Design program at VFS. The students are challenged to develop a cohesive larger project or a series. These are their most sophisticated creative projects to date. The students are mentored through a discovery process with stages of research, experimentation, consultation, and production. They are encouraged to experiment with self-expression and create a unique experience that reveals their personal creative voice. The result is a semi-public exhibition and reception where students stand proudly beside their work and network with other students across various terms and streams in the VFS community.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, students will capture their work for display in these galleries while awaiting a collective showing when VFS campuses have re-opened.
